Academic Background: I am an Evolutionary Psychologist with diverse academic training and research experience. I received a B.A. with honors in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology from the University at Albany in 2007. I then completed a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Ecology, Evolution and Behavior) with a graduate certificate in Evolutionary Studies from Binghamton University in 2010. Following this, I performed my postdoctoral research in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University from 2010-2012.

Before coming to SUNY College at Oneonta, I worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bard College from 2012-2013. Prior to this, I also spent time working as a Visiting Researcher in the Center for Insect Science at the University of Arizona (2010-2011) and an Adjunct Instructor in the Institute for Evolutionary Studies at Binghamton University (2012).

Teaching and Research: I enjoy teaching a variety of courses in psychology. This semester (Spring 2014) I will be teaching Introductory Psychology, Biological Basis of Behavior and Aggression and Humans and Animals. In the future I plan to also teach courses in Evolutionary Psychology and Neuroethology.
