Andrew C. Gallup, Ph.D.


Academic Background: I am an Evolutionary Psychologist with diverse academic training and research experience. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University at Albany and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Ecology, Evolution and Behavior) with a Graduate Certificate in Evolutionary Studies from Binghamton University. Before coming to Oneonta, I completed a two-year postdoc in the Collective Animal Behavior Lab within the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University.

My academic interests are in ethology, evolutionary psychology and social cognition. I serve as an Associate Editor for Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences and Frontiers in Evolutionary Psychology and Neuroscience, a Discovery Editor for Temperature and I am also on the editorial board of Evolutionary Psychology and Frontiers in Comparative Psychology.
