The students of FOOD 239: Restaurant and
Catering Management are pleased to present our Wine Tasting and Dinner.
This dinner will feature wines from Europe, California and the Finger Lakes region and a menu developed by the student leaders.
Our goals are to teach about the wines served, how to taste wines, the difference the right glass makes and to serve some great food in addition to raising $1,000 for the FSRA scholarship fund. We hope that you can join us for our pleasurable and flavorful journey into partnering foods and wines. It will be fun, educational and fulfilling!
This year we will also feature a Wine Pull.
For an additional $15 per person
you will be able to pull a wrapped bottle of wine and have a surprising taste
treat to take home with you!
The team of Keith, Ian and Jack are our team leaders for this event
Mushrooms stuffed with mushroom duxelle, Parmesan and breadcrumbs
served with a Spanish Cava
Grilled Corn Chowder
served with a California Sauvignon Blanc
Roasted Beet Salad
served with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
Oneonta Osso Bucco
with Cauliflower puree, baby carrots and veal demi-glace
served with a Super Tuscan IGT
Chocolate Pecan pie or Chocolate Crème Brule
served with a
Ruby Port and then a Tawny Port from Fox Run Vineyards
Cost $55.00 per person
price includes a ticket to the Theatre Department's evening production of
"The Matchmaker" by Thornton Wilder, directed by John McCaslin-Doyle
please inform us if you will use the play ticket at the time of your dining reservation
so that we can reserve the appropriate number of seats.
Any Excess funds from unused play tickets will be donated to the Theatre Department
For a total of only $70 per person,
you can enjoy a wonderful meal with great wines and friends,
take in a show, leave with a nice bottle of wine and
benefit both FSRA and Theatre students, all in the same evening!
