Introduction to Biological Anthropology

 

 

ANTH 130 (Introduction to Biological Anthropology) is taught by Dr. John Relethford in the Department of Anthropology at the State University of New York College at Oneonta, located in (obviously) Oneonta, New York.
 

Biological anthropology (also known as physical anthropology) is the science of human biological origins, evolution, and variation. This course focuses on four areas: 1. Evolutionary theory, 2. Human biological variation, 3. Our place in nature, and 4. Human evolution.

 

     

The text for the course is the seventh edition of my book The Human Species: An Introduction to Biological Anthropology, published by McGraw-Hill (2008).
