Issues in Anthropology

 

 

ANTH 390 (Issues in Anthropology) a seminar course designed for anthropology majors that discusses current issues and debates in the subfields of archaeology, biological anthropology, and cultural anthropology, as well as anthropological perspectives on current events and ethical aspects of anthropological research. Emphasis is on critical thinking.

 


The members of the anthropology department rotate teaching responsibilities for the course, although all department faculty participate each semester as guest discussants. The section for Spring 2007 is taught by Dr. John Relethford.

Prerequisite: 18 semester hours in anthropology and junior or senior status.
