Use the Time-size format:
8 1/2 x 11 in.

Use original text, graphics and images (no downloaded pictres or magazine scans)

Page 2 should contain the continuation of the article that began in page 1

Page 3 should contain an advertisement for the most important item in the universe

Page 4 should contain the conclusion of the article that began in page 1, as well as a half page advertisement for the coolest designer in the universe.

What to save:

Create a folder named " yourlastname as4" and save the following for grading:
One file in Adobe inDesign format,
and one file in
Adobe PDF format.

Make sure the file extention is present in all files you save.

Place the final copies in the Graphic Design "Drop Box"

Plan your project carefully from the very beginning. Use pencil and paper sketches

on the initial stages to design the general layout, and then create the placeholders in inDesign.

Use Photoshop to manipulate your images, Illustrator to create graphics and fancy type elements, and inDesign to put the layout together.

Pay particular attention to the size of your images to make sure they will fit in your page placeholders. It will be useful if you convert all the measuring units in all the programs you use to the same unit.

For your images use your own scanned images (no magazine or downloaded photos please), and scan them at a low resolution (150 dpi).
