How do people access ESCORT services?

Simple. Just e-mail or call us. We'll review your school or program
needs, and let you know if we can help. Our phone number is 1.800.451.8058.
Email can be sent to our director, Bob Levy at levyrh@oneonta.edu

How is ESCORT funded?

ESCORT gets its' funding from several grants and contracts. Presently we
receive funding from the U.S. Department of Education, four regional
Comprehensive Centers, and several State Education Departments. Each
grant or contract has specifications for service and technical
assistance.

Why is it called ESCORT?

We were originally the Eastern Stream Center on Resources and Training. That was back when we worked with the migrant programs in what was then designated the "Eastern Stream" or the states in which migrant traveled regularly up and down the east coast. But now we're just ESCORT.

What kind of services, in general, do you provide?

Our main thrust is technical assistance and training. We help programs assess where they're at, help develop plans for program improvement, offer technical assistance-for individual program administrators, small groups, or the entire staff-and than provide the training to ensure the proposed improvement really works.
We're flexible with our technical assistance and training models; it's your needs that drive our service.

Who works at ESCORT?

Most of our staff have been here since our inception-more than a dozen years. We come from varied educationally related backgrounds with degrees and experience in all kinds of areas including: program administration, migrant education, reading, special education, English as a Second Language (ESL), homeless, parent involvement, computer applications in education, research, assessment, and many, many others.
