Found an old postcard -

I was waiting for an oil change and took a few minutes to cross the street to browse through an antique and junk store. In a pile of Morris postcards I found the one shown below - postmarked:

MORRIS 1910 MAR 3 - 2 PM - I was told my house was built in the 1920's but it shows up clearly in the foreground of this postcard! I realize that you might not recognize my house so I have clipped the photo and circled the place.

I recently chartered a plane and flew over the house. The view in the postcard can not be exactly duplicated because it was taken from a hillside that is now wooded. The pilot did not feel that we could legally brush the tree tops with the landing gear so things look a bit different. Another difference is that the church roof is now white. The house roof has light color shingles and the house blends into the carriage barn behind it. In the old postcard the carriage barn was completely hidden from view by the house.

The old school was torn down in 1932 or so and replaced with the red brick structure that can be seen in nearly the same place.

I have recently been told that I should have included a view of my house that would give a ground level impression of it. Here's a picture from early 1998.
