The newsletters are posted in PDF (portable document format) and need a PDF viewer to see them. PDF is a file specification much in the way that HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is. As such there are a number of providers for viewers. The best known is Adobe which offers a free reader at this site. Another provider is Ghostscript available here. Ghostscript is not as "slick" as Adobe but it is freely distributed and allows you to create as well as to view PDF files.
