Let's Have Some Bright Colors
to Contrast with the snow.
Saturday January 29th - around
11:30 am - I'll walk around
my house with the electronic
camera and take some photos.
Above is my Subaru in front
of the two stall carriage barn.
Here's a door to the house that
we don't use in winter.
There is another step completely
out of sight.
My glove got in the way - the
only thing blocked from view is the
little porch and door in the
photo above this.
This is not a camera where you
look through the lens!
Looking across the backyard.
Some wood stacks in preparation
of y2k problems that never occurred.
Which is fine with me!
The back of the house with some
icicles that I had to remove.
Look at the that! The other
side of the car!
The wind drifts the snow and
causes it to hang from the roof.
We don't use this door too often
in winter either.
The screen porch with a long
icicle near the corner.
The view from by the car, a
neighbor's house.
Another neighbor.
Looking across the Butternut
Valley.
It was a very pretty morning.
The calm before the storm.
The roofs of the school are beyond some houses below
the hill.
Looking down the valley. Notice
the tree with no snow on it.
You'll see it again.
Monday January 31 with another
foot of snow on the ground.
What a difference a day makes!
Nice to look at, but some work
to shovel!
Fence rails disappearing from
view.
The snow will only stay on the
branches until a puff of wind comes.
Iced tea on the porch? Anyone?
Broad St in Morris as we drive
toward Oneonta.
Evergreens really hold the snow
on the edge of the cemetary.
Going up Patrick Hill. The state
road crews have done a great job.
I'm not sure where the pink
tint came from.
A little slush here and there.
That flat area is the snow covered
ice of the Susquehanna River.
Part of the Main St of Oneonta.
Want to shovel out a driveway
filled with this?
Maple Avenue which leads to
Bugbee.
Bugbee itself with Don using
the snowblower.
Someone has to dig to find their
car.
