Our group's goal was focused on remedial action, following the DEC and NYSEG agreements beginning in 1997. There were three steps in the site's remediation process. The first was the remediation of Mill Race Creek.  Then, air sparging of the Oneonta site began in 1997 and ended in 2001.  The excavation project began soon after in October 2006 with a projected cost of  $11.8 million. The goal of the project is to remove toxic soil from Neahwa Park, located in downtown, Oneonta. The projected end date for the backfilling is April 20, 2007.
