Description:
1. Read the syllabus and be prepared for a quiz on it. You do not need to know details such as exact numbers of points. You should know generally what is required. (Is there a mid-term? Final exam? Quizzes?) Also read carefully the section on what HEADING is required on all papers.
2. Locate and read the handout on writing and grammar. To find it, go to my home page, click Class Handouts, click General Handouts for All Courses, and look for the handout called "Some Notes on Writing and Grammar." Read the handout, and be prepared for a quiz on how to use apostrophes.
3. Read the text Chapter 1 and be prepared for a quiz on it. NOTE: before reading the text, look at the reading guidelines. You can find them by going to the home page for Psyc 220. The reading guidelines will tell you about how to find STUDY QUESTIONS for Chapter 1. Part of the quiz will be based on the study questions.
**4. Bring to class on Tuesday: (A) a copy of the syllabus; (B) the text; (C)
a list of any questions you have about the syllabus.
