a Word document window contains several visual elements commonly found in almost all windows software as well as many visual elements which are unique in Word.
menu (commands are categorized under different menu items based on the nature of commands)
short menu: display your most recently used commands only.
full menu display all the commands associated with a menu.
a dimmed command appears gray, or dimmed, instead of black.
a hidden command does not appear in short menu, but in full menu.
