My name is Jaclyn Simeone and I'm a senior at SUNY Oneonta. I'm a biology major with a pre-veterinarian concentration. When I'm not at my home away from home, I live in Staten Island, New York, with my parents, older brother, and two dogs. I recently started research with Dr. Reyda this fall semester and I love it. I really took to the topic of parasites because of his parasitology course I took in the spring of 2017. I've learned many techniques and gained much experience in doing research in this lab, whether it be dissections, methods of catching fish, preservation of parasites, or mounting the specimens on slides. I plan on applying for veterinarian schools this summer and hope that this research lab will help me with my future endeavors.
